Privacy and local processing

InHand editorial · Updated 2026-10-10

The separate Statement Studio app is designed to process selected normal, printed-English scanned and mixed PDFs, and CSVs, locally in your browser. Statement contents, descriptions, amounts, balances, account numbers, OCR text, filenames and document contents are not sent to product telemetry. This describes the application data flow and does not make claims about browser extensions or operating-system services.

Working files and saved mappings

By default, working rows are held in the Studio tab and are not saved as account data. Closing or reloading can discard unsaved work. If you explicitly enable saving financial review data, Studio stores that review data in IndexedDB on this device until you turn saving off or erase it. This does not sync statements between devices or accounts. Download reviewed exports before switching devices; those exports are separate files on your device. Mapping settings are stored locally only when you explicitly save them; they do not contain statement rows or source files. Clearing Studio browser storage removes the usage record and locally saved workspace and access data, and can reset the three-export counter.

Optional account

Basic Studio use does not require an account. If you choose to create or use an account, authentication is provided separately through Supabase. Login email is sent through the configured Resend email provider. Account and authentication information is handled by those services to provide sign-in; statement data is not part of the account workflow. Account features are available at account.inhand.space.

Website requests and support

The public marketing site, Studio and Account do not load advertising scripts, session replay or behavioral analytics. Standard web and hosting requests may process routine connection metadata such as IP address, requested path and user agent. If you email support, message contents are shared with your email provider and recipient. Do not send statements or unredacted financial details.

Billing status

Paid feature activation and checkout are currently off. Planned catalog prices are listed on the pricing page. Existing trials already granted remain honored; new accounts do not automatically receive a trial.
