A clearer statement review

InHand editorial · Updated 2026-10-09

InHand Statement Studio is designed for the work between downloading a bank statement and preparing transactions for your books. It proposes a table, keeps uncertain source lines visible and gives you controls to inspect the result.

The design choices

Studio processes selected files in this browser; current application source has no statement-upload endpoint. Date format and CSV column mappings make CSV assumptions visible. PDF exports require explicit source review and exact reconciliation. A printed balance provides a comparison point, while a possible duplicate remains included until you decide otherwise. These choices support review; they do not make the tool an accounting system or guarantee correct extraction.

The first release is deliberately bounded: normal, scanned and mixed PDF exports after explicit source review and exact reconciliation; CSV import with explicit period, source balances, row classification and reconciliation checks; editable rows; eligible CSV/QIF exports; optional device-local review storage; and Professional CSV mapping profiles. Printed English scans and mixed PDFs use local OCR for review. Bank connections and all-bank compatibility claims are not offered.

Editorial method

InHand editorial uses AI-assisted drafting and fictional examples to explain the supported software workflow. The guides have not received independent professional accounting review. Destination-format guidance links to primary documentation where applicable. We revise guides when supported behaviour changes and display an updated date. There are no invented customer reviews, accuracy statistics or usage counts.
